Adoption Anniversary!

Tomorrow marks the 5 year anniversary of the day I adopted the Julie & Rob-people! Here's my story . . .

My sister and I had set off on a great adventure one day at the very grown-up age of 6 weeks-old. This adventure involved being picked up and brought to Animal Control, waiting around in cages for 2 weeks (this was not part of our plan!), being rescued by the nice people at Animal Resource Network, Inc (ARNI) where we went to live with our foster-mom, Jean, for a few weeks. While living with Jean, we convinced her to take our pictures (beautiful girls like us needed some photoshoot time, ya know?). Well Jean took pictures of us and put them on this internet thing on a website called Petfinder where she proclaimed to the world what wonderful puppies we were.

One day the Julie-people saw my glamour shot on Petfinder and contacted Jean to arrange a time to come meet the infamous "Thelma" - Oh, I forgot to mention this part, Jean and the ARNI-people gave my sister & I new names. They called us "Thelma" & "Louise" because we'd been found wandering the side of a highway on this great adventure we'd set out on. I heard they made a movie about us crazy gals - gosh dog it, I keep forgetting to put that on my PetFlix list.

Well that day came, and let me tell ya, I wrapped them around my little curled tail and adopted the Julie & Rob-people that very day. The adventure continues! My new people gave me another new name, they called me Hayle, and they took me home with them. I missed my sister a little that first night, but my new people were so great and I heard that my sister adopted a new family that following weekend, so I was really happy about that.

I still remember the good people at ARNI though and my foster-mom, Jean. They were so good to us. That's why we made ARNI our Charity of the Month for June. Happy Adoption Anniversary to my ARNI friends! Thanks a bunch for everything!!!
